When we received our first contact from Firstcall Trade Services, it was our first website refresh we had carried out in a while for a trades and construction company. Firstcall specialise in the larger insurance trade jobs across the trade industry. They came to us wanting an update of their current site which was white with blue font. We integrated colours from other sections of the brand to bring the business more together.
Firstcall trade services have 4 sub-brand elements to their business which we thought everyone should have access to from the first interaction with the site. The missing elements we found were clear links to all of the additional services that Paul and his team provide which we inserted front and centre into the header image.
Being a large, diverse organisation, Firstcall provide a lot of services and there was a need to structure this in a way that didn’t impose on the user experience.
We highlighted that if the main part is insurance repairs then a button for logging a claim needs to be in the Nav Bar so that users can quickly get in touch to log a claim. In addition, due to 70% of users accessing the internet through their mobile devices, we made sure that the website looked great on any browser, smartphone or tablet.
We agreed that there was a large need for more advocacy throughout the home page. We began by including the testimonials at the bottom to show the fantastic work that Paul and his team have carried out. Firstcall have also had adverts played on STV and other major media outlets which is showcased in a well structured layout.
